Since January 1, 2019, you can continuously benefit from the thermal modernization relief, which allows you to deduct the costs incurred, among others, for the installation of photovoltaics and the installation of a heat pump from income tax.
It is a deduction from the tax base of expenses incurred as part of the thermal modernization of an existing building.
The deduction applies to taxpayers who are owners or co-owners of an existing single-family residential building (the building must not be under construction). Taxpayers settling on the basis of: the tax scale (17% or 32%), flat tax 19%) or tax relief on documented income can benefit from the deduction. The investment must be completed within 3 years from the date of the first expense included in the deduction.

The amount that can be deducted cannot exceed 53,000 PLN for all thermal modernization works carried out in the buildings of the owner/co-owner wishing to benefit from the relief.
